Liz J. Vieira

Liz J. Vieira is a shareholder with Squires, Waldspurger & Mace, P.A. Her areas of practice include general municipal law, school law, special education, data practices requests, labor and employment, land use and zoning, and civil litigation.

Liz has served as the lead attorney in trials, evidentiary hearings, special education due process hearings, other contested administrative proceedings, and appeals. She routinely speaks to municipal employees and other attorneys on a variety of topics including Title IX, the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, student and employee discipline, special education, Section 504, investigations, and constitutional rights. She is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and state and federal courts in Minnesota and Wisconsin.


Kristin C. Nierengarten

Kristin C. Nierengarten is a shareholder with Squires, Waldspurger & Mace, P.A. Kristin is focused on providing practical, timely, and cost-effective advice and solutions to school, city, county, and other government clients. Her areas of practice include general municipal law, school law, data practices, labor and employment, land use and zoning, constitutional law, and civil and appellate litigation.

She regularly speaks on a variety of topics including the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, student and employee discipline, investigations, constitutional rights, and other issues facing our clients. She is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and state and federal courts in Minnesota. Kristin was selected as a Minnesota Rising Star attorney in 2021 and 2022, a distinction granted to only 2.5% of attorneys in the state, and is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, and Council of School Attorneys.
